The economic landscape of outdoor equipment manufacturers in the Haute-Savoie department in 2010
For the
first time in the Haute-Savoie department all companies in the outdoor sports
industry have been inventoried, thanks to a study conducted in the spring of
2010 by the Outdoor Sports Valley association.
Preselected
according to their business code (code APE), with help from the Haute-Savoie
Chamber of Commerce (CCI74) and the Haute-Savoie Chamber of Trades and Crafts
industries (CMA 74), 92 companies, representing more than 250 brands, were identified
as manufacturers or distributors of outdoor sports products.
We sent
a questionnaire to each company, providing us with industry data and to map,
with the help of CMA 74, the outdoor industry in the area.
Each map
and some company information are available on the OSV website. Certain company
information (contact information for executives, etc. ...) is only available to
OSV members.
This study
represents the first step in a wider effort to extend the observatory to the
entire Rhône-Alpes region in 2012.
